Capone, middle name snuggles, is a 2 year old velcro Doberman with charming ears and a handsome face. Capone is housebroken, crate trained, knows basic commands, does well in the car, walks nice on a leash, loves other dogs of all sizes, and does well with kids. Originally kept in a crate for 13+ hours with little training by his initial owner, Capone behaves like a puppy – counter surfing, chewing, and digging. Capone has also developed the habit of marking, and needs someone willing to work with him using a belly band. When it comes to other dogs, Capone is an over-the-top player; sometimes he can’t read when it is time to stop. Although he is very dog social and loves meeting other animals, he will need to be matched with just the right active and tolerant canine partner, or be an only dog in the home. Capone will also require an adopter with extensive Doberman training experience, and/or be adopted out with a training contract in place. Teaching Capone how to best manage his play will take work and be important to his future. This handsome boy is looking for a forever family devoted to his training/exercise, and willing to give him a job. Dog sports will make Capone into an even better dog. In return, you’ll get to love one of the sweetest, most affectionate dobies around.
