Finn is a stunning 9 month old Doberboy rescued from a large hoarding situation. Finn likes people and other confident dogs, and is still learning to trust. We are not sure that he would do well with cats, although he leaves the chickens in his foster home alone. Finn brings a lot of joy to those he meets, and will need a soft leader with large-dog experience, and one willing to work with him as his layers begin to peel. A silly and sometimes naughty puppy, Finn has shown to have great coping skills considering the trauma and lack of early socialization he has been through. DHDR will require that Finn be adopted out to someone who has pre-selected a trainer to work with long-term. This trainer must be a confident, yet gentle leader as he does not respond well to tough corrections. He also will not respond to purely positive treat-based training. The right mixture will be important. Finn is crate trained and housebroken, and rides well in the car. Finn would love to learn how to become a true dog in a household with multiple people and other dogs.
