Intro to Barn Hunt w/ Cheeky Dog Obedience
March 24 @ 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM$25
Barn Hunt is one of the fastest growing sports for dogs, with formal titles now recognized by the AKC. Barn Hunt is known as the “fun” sport for your dog as it is more about the hunt and your bond, and less about formal obedience. During Barn Hunt, the dog “hunts” for rats in tubes, having to distinguish between actual rats and smelly decoys. The dog then alerts, and it is up to the handler to call out the rat. From climbing and tunneling to the different levels and challenges, Barn Hunt is fun and rewarding!
In this course, introduce your dog to the rat, and to the concept of alerting. Begin to build your communication, and determine if your dog has the drive to join Barn Hunt. This class is being offered at a discount rate!
Register now by emailing email@example.com as spots are very limited.
Please bring very high value treats (chicken, steak, hot dogs, or a smelly, yummy soft treat). Have your dog on a flat or martingale collar and leash – no ecollars, chain collars, or prong collars. If you’d like, bring a crate for your dog to relax in between runs, and a chair for yourself.
