We are an all-volunteer, home based rescue located in central Phoenix, AZ.  We do not operate for, nor make a profit.  Contributions and adoption fees are dedicated to rescue operations and care of the dogs.

DHDR was founded by a proud member of the Doberman Pinscher Club of America.  We adhere both to standard good rescue practices and to customary good business practices.

MISSION:  Founded on January 6, 2009, our mission is to rescue placeable purebred Doberman Pinschers in Arizona, evaluate/treat them, then place them in suitaqble, qualified, loving forever homes.  We also educate the public about this breed and living with a dog.

OUR PRIORITIES:  Our first priority is placeable (fundamentally sound) dogs who are at high rist of death or abuse, dogs on shelter “kill” lists, strays, or foundlings.  After that, as resources permit, we accept owner surrenders whose owner are willing to help with the cost of a mandatory veterinary intake exam and spay or neuter.

HOW WE CAN HELP:  For every dog that’s rescued, ten others will die.  We strive to ensure that the dogs we save are fundamentally sound, stable, and loving Dobermans worth that sacrifice.
