What a firecracker! This 2 year old boy was found as a stray with a horribly infected tooth, causing a large abscess on the side of his muzzle. Luckily DHDR pulled him from a county facility and had him immediately receive necessary vet care and he is 100% healed Flanagan is black and rust with natural ears and a docked tail. He does well with the older children in his foster home and has learned to play nicely with small dogs in his home. He may do best as the only dog in the home, or with a sweet female companion. Many people believe 2-years marks the “adult” phase of a dog’s life, but Flanagan is still quite the puppy at heart! He has energy galore and would be happiest with an active family who has experience with high-energy, working-breed dogs. Training is in progress with his foster home, but will need continued work with his new family. He loves to play games and we have discovered that he is a “blankie-sucker,” using his blanket like a baby would a pacifier at bedtime – it’s the cutest thing! He also prides himself in being the best grasshopper hunter in the state of Arizona! Okay, maybe that’s an exaggeration, but he will spend all day hopping around the yard looking for them, and chasing lizards whenever the chance arises. Flanagan reminds us of a goofy kid, always making us laugh, and is sure to be a constant source of entertainment in his new family’s life.
