Drake is a 7 year old handsome Dober-gent looking for a loving and active home. This great looking cropped and docked red boy would make the perfect companion for an experienced working dog owner, committed to daily exercise and mental stimulation. He did well with a female Doberman and a female Min Pin in a foster home previously but has been an only dog for the past few years. A potential doggy-sibling would preferably be female, patient, playful and tolerant. He would require a slow introduction. We do recommend a home without cats or small dogs that run and jump and yap (his preference, not ours!). Drake does very well on a leash and has amazing house manners and is crate trained and knows how to use a doggy-door. He wants nothing more than to sit right next to you as you watch TV, work on your computer, cook dinner, fold laundry; basically he is a typical Doberman in that he just wants to be close to his favorite person. He can respond better to men than women, but only because he respects calm authority and consistent instructions. Drake is an amazing example of the Doberman breed and we are looking forward to meeting the lucky adopter who will agree with us in that he is one of the best dogs ever.
