Hawkins is in our Howie’s Hospice program and will remain in the care of DHDR.  He has recently been diagnosed with dialated cardiomyopathy (DCM).  We are seeking sponsorship for Hawkins so we can continue to care for his veterinary needs. This happy and handsome boy is an all-natural Doberman, approximately 7 years young and full of life! He was picked up as a stray and saved from the euthanasia lists, after which he went into foster-care with a woman confined to a wheelchair. Hawkins is wonderful in the house, comfortable in his crate, and is reliable outdoors for appropriate periods of time. He is a goofy boy, and can be quite the prankster, but prefers bones and personal attention rather than toys. Hawkins has had surgery to remove a plate previously placed on a broken hind leg before he came into our care.  With consistent training Hawk has come a long way with his obedience since he first arrived and truly enjoys being with his people. His personality makes it so easy, and he is a constant source of entertainment!  You can make donations toward Hawkins’ care at www.azdoberescue.org.
