Morty is a 4 month old male Doberman. cutie came to us last week and has been with our vet for some testing. Morty is mostly a normal, healthy puppy, but sometimes he will plop down when his legs seem to give out. Before coming to us, he had two different families. They each took him to the vet, and both vets felt the issue was not wobblers. We have ruled out any contagious possibilities like Parvo or Distemper. His imaging looks good. Long story short, we suspect he may have Dancing Doberman Disease. We’ve had two Dobies with this in the past, and they are both currently living normal lives many years later. We will update Morty’s bio in the next two weeks as we learn more information.
