“We had had three Dobermans in our life. Our last Doberman passed away about a year prior to our contacting DHDR. You worked with us to identify a 19-month-old male Dobie we wanted to take a look at, and brought the dog to us after we had completed your application process. You truly make sure the people who want to rescue a Doberman really understand the challenges and requirements for these wonderful dogs. You did a great job checking out our home and yard to make sure it would be a good fit for a Dobie. We wanted the dog as soon as we met him, and signed the contract. We renamed our dog Beau and he is now two years old. After we had Beau for about two weeks, I suffered a heart problem and had to have a double bypass operation. When I returned from the hospital I required a lot of bed rest. Beau stayed by my side in the bed most of the time I was there. He wouldn’t leave me. Remember, we only had Beau for about two weeks prior to my hospital stay. To say we had bonded in that short time sounds unlikely but it is absolutely true. My wife and I are impressed with the quality of the Desert Harbor Doberman Rescue operation. We recommend you to anyone who is considering rescuing a Doberman.”
