Bond is a very handsome male, just like his secret agent counterpart! He has the traditional black & rust markings with a very nice crop & dock. He is young, 3 years old and weighs about 70 lbs. He is a lover with his people – very Velcro – but will require a home without children. Already we can see he is smart and has been well-trained. He knows the commands sit, heel, stay, down, shake, and could easily be taught more. He is eager to please and would love an opportunity to work with his owner on new commands and behaviors. So far he gets along with the other dogs in his foster home, but needs a slow introduction. We have not observed him around cats yet, but Bond has been known to chase chickens, so a home without small animals would be best. He’s a real snuggler, and has acquired a taste for vegetables… and butter. Butter is his guilty pleasure, so be sure to guard that tub with your life! Bond is a great example of a working Doberman, and could potentially do well in competition. His new home should be committed to training and will need to be consistent with him, especially with strangers knocking at the front door. However, we have been working hard with this boy and it is obvious that he is highly treat motivated and wants you to be happy with him more than anything! This can take him as far as you are willing to bring him in terms of training, and is really a special quality. Everyone in the rescue agrees that he is a great dog, and we are all excited to see him go to a home that can make him shine and excel!
