Sophie is approximately 7 years old, and weighs 60 lbs. Like most of our red-heads, she is a goofy gal with a lovely personality! She is both docked and cropped, but her ears have flopped in the most adorable manner. Sophie loves to be with people and would make a good companion for older kids. She would also do nicely in a home with another well behaved dog who won’t push her to play constantly. We have been unable to observe her behavior around cats or small dogs yet, so an introduction would be necessary. Napping with a stuffed animal seems to be her favorite past time, although she can be coaxed into playing now and again. Her manners are excellent, she is crate trained, knows basic obedience, and is learning how to use the doggy door in her foster home. What more can you ask for? Sophie does seem to be born with a slightly different build than most Dobermans but her skeletal differences do not seem to cause her any pain or restrict her activity. All she wants is a home and a family to call her own. We are hoping you can help her with that!
