Winston is a 6 year old confident companion with an independent personality. He does well with other dogs, and prefers a calm playstyle. Likewise, will do best in a calm household and is used to taking care of himself with a dog door. He enjoys his outdoor relaxation in the nice weather and his main outdoor activity is ridding the yard of birds and airplanes. He is housebroken, does well in the car, and doesn’t mind having his nails done. He enjoys walks and going places with his people. This handsome boy does have “pre-clinical” DCM, meaning he will eventually develop DCM. We are hopeful he has many years left in him as his medication has given other Dobermans extra time. He will need echocardiograms every 6-12 months and a Holter Monitor at least annually. DHDR has tons of great guidance on DCM.
