Lucy

Lucy is an 8 year old female Doberman. In her previous home, Lucy did well with cats and other dogs. In her current foster home, she is enjoying the company of another Doberman. She will occasionally play, but is not forward or rowdy. Lucy likes to be by your side, and can take a little bit of time to snuggle up to new people. This girl rides nicely in the car, knows basic obedience, and is an easy housemate. Lucy was recently diagnosed with occult DCM, meaning it is preclinical and non-symptomatic. 50% of all Dobermans have DCM, so we consider Lucy to be lucky; her case was caught early, and we can begin medication. We have seen many dogs live full lives, to old age, when diagnosed early. Lucy deserves a wonderful forever home and can’t wait to be your best friend.
