DHDR in the Puppy Bowl
DHDR’s Felicity was selected to play in Puppy Bowl XXI in February 2025! Airing on Animal Planet, Discovery, MAX, and TBS, Puppy Bowl is one of the top non-sports cable broadcasts. We loved seeing Felicity represent Dobermans, Arizona, and rescue dogs in front of 12+ million viewers! Check out the links below to see all of the press Felicity got around the big game.
Felicity came to DHDR after a backyard breeder surrendered her mom to an emergency vet. Mama had an obstruction, and the breeder did not want to invest in her life saving surgery. DHDR took over her care, and our incredible foster raised her litter using the Puppy Culture protocol. Now with her forever family, Felicity is attending 1:1 training and group classes to continue her socialization and enrichment.

The Puppy Bowl provided DHDR an opportunity to highlight our puppy raising program, which ensures that puppies who come to us are raised in the appropriate environment, with exposure to a variety of touch, sounds, textures, noises, people, pets, and experiences. Our puppy fosters donate an incredible amount of time; raising puppies is a 24/7 job for 8 weeks. Puppies that leave DHDR then complete a minimum of two 1:1 in home sessions and a group class with trainers who are committed to a positive, LIMA training style. We believe this will result in less adult Dobermans in shelters, and encourage the community to reach out to us for free resources, discount classes and more.
We thank our volunteers, fosters, donors, and supporters for allowing us to do this work. We are so appreciative to Warner Brothers for selecting Felicity, and for the local news teams who featured the rescue.
